Jonathan Lee
President
Jonathan Lee stands out as a builder who blends education, experience, and passion to create award-winning homes. With a BS in Building Construction from Virginia Tech, Jonathan’s career began in commercial construction before founding Homes by Jonathan Lee, Inc., in 1995. His homes have since earned yearly gold and silver awards in the Parade of Homes.
Jonathan stays at the forefront of his profession, using the latest techniques and technologies to make homes both wise investments and wonderful living spaces. His strong communication and collaboration skills foster excellent client relationships, earning him many word-of-mouth recommendations. He works closely with clients from initial discussions through project completion, ensuring high standards at every job site.
Jonathan has served as president and board member of the Home Builders Association and chaired vocational education initiatives. He also contributes to Habitat for Humanity, helping provide well-built homes to the community. Quality and integrity define both Jonathan and Homes by Jonathan Lee.
Tim Fox
Superintendent
When it comes to custom home building, having Tim Fox at the helm ensures a client’s peace of mind. Tim's lifelong passion for building began with his first workbench at age 10. He holds a business administration degree from UNC Greensboro and has extensive experience in both management and construction.
As a former business owner and contractor, Tim's hands-on experience fosters strong relationships with the contractors he supervises. His excellent communication skills make him an effective liaison among clients, contractors, vendors, and colleagues.
Tim excels at building beautiful homes and managing intricate construction processes, earning a reputation as a top superintendent who anticipates and resolves issues while ensuring quality. His versatility allows him to creatively address all project facets.
Alicia Lee
Interior Designer
A professional interior designer is invaluable when clients need to make numerous decisions. Alicia helps clients envision their homes and choose materials, products, colors, and finishes that reflect their tastes.
Her level of engagement depends on the clients and is tailored for their needs and desires. Alicia’s design work with clients ranges from a little assistance with putting together the outside and inside materials for a new home to full-blown design. This involves incorporating materials and finishes (colors, brick, stone, siding, rock shingles) for the outside of the home and paints, finishes, counter tops, fixtures, cabinets, lighting and furnishings for the inside.
Alicia grew up in a family with a home decorating business, gaining experience with furnishings and window treatments. She holds a degree in Housing from East Carolina University. Her eye for color, knowledge of materials and products and her ability to facilitate design that flows beautifully from room to room or rooftop to foundation, enhances the architecture of every home she works with.
Jeff Eyres
Superintendent
With 30 years of experience in the home construction industry, Jeff has a deep passion for building exceptional projects. His diverse background includes framing, siding, roofing, drywall, interior trim, cabinetry, woodworking, electrical, and plumbing, allowing him to see each project as a cohesive whole made up of important individual parts.
He has held Class B and C building licenses in several countries and municipalities throughout his career, and his extensive experience in job site management ensures that each project is completed to the highest standards.
As an on-site superintendent at Homes by Jonathan Lee, Jeff oversees the daily progress and completion of new homes. He works closely with homeowners to ensure their selections and specifications are met, coordinating with subcontractors and the city building department to ensure everything is done properly and on time. His favorite part of the job is seeing the finished home and the satisfaction of customers as they receive the home of their dreams.
Courtney Mullins
Estimator & Project Manager
Courtney began her career with an associate degree in interior design from Forsyth Tech, graduating in 2019. She spent four years working as a lead designer at a firm specializing in high-end homes, where she honed her skills in creating luxury spaces. After this, Courtney joined the Homes by Jonathan Lee team as a project manager and estimator, expanding her expertise to include the full construction process and building systems.
Courtney plays a key role in guiding clients through the homebuilding journey. Once plans are finalized, she works on estimating and pricing while collaborating with the team—including Jonathan, Tim, and Jeff—on selections and ordering. Acting as a liaison between clients and the construction site, Courtney ensures clear communication and smooth project execution from start to finish.
Boyce Lee
Office Manager & Assistant Superintendant
Boyce Lee studied architecture at Forsyth Tech and now plays a key role in managing the daily operations at HBJL. He handles everything from office management and accounting to project management, ensuring the business runs smoothly. In addition to his office duties, Boyce is active in the field as an assistant superintendent, checking on homes and working closely with Tim to oversee the construction process.
One of Boyce’s favorite aspects of homebuilding is the early stages—clearing the land, planning, and pouring the foundation. He finds great satisfaction in watching these initial steps lay the groundwork for each project, turning a vision into reality.
